Yes sir, I've got a 73 and I'm in the middle of getting it back on the road. Main problem with these bikes are the lack of parts. My problem is sourcing a rod and crank pin, unobtainium it seems. It's a 5000 mile bike may have to put it back together with new bearings and original crank and pin

Just saw this
Hopefully I will be able to resolve several of the issues described in the article.
Mine will never go off road...purposely.
So it gets sticky tires to solve one problem. Lost some weight with a pipe and aluminum rims.
Sintered metal grooved brake pads, and drilled out hubs and brake plates should help it stop better.
It will get new rear shocks that will be designed for the street with some adjustability, as well as fork emulators, to solve handling.
Regeared it to get a little more speed, although still under 100 at redline in 5th.
Using a TM400 based engine, along with a bigger 34 mm carb, so it will gain a good amount of instant power when unexpected.
Plus..... it's different, as I have never seen another one, other than pictures.
....although I have seen a couple TM400's at shows....

And the engine is stone axe simple

In process
