Need to run these things once in a while, eh?
I watched that last night. :cheerleader:
I was curious how long they've been sitting but were still able to start. Were they on a tender, what type of fuel, and do you use Sta-bil?
Ken, I fire up the five smokers that are running at this time, once a week. Mostly for the smell, partly to get away from the crazy shit happening around us!
Superb !!
WHat is the model for 4 cylinder Blue bike ? Shes crazy ..
Cheers,

Best guess for sit time 1.5 - 2 months on those 3 bikes. More than I usually let them sit for.
I have several tenders on rotations and bought a ton of the battery end so all bikes get one. But gotten lax on even moving the tender around lately. Shall I blame this on old age, laziness, or???
Stabil is in the R1 and the 83 RZ350 because they really don't get ridden. I've had it in the 500 but that has long since been consumed.
I'm curious if anyone has had luck running the carbs dry, letting it sit for an extended period, and successfully started without carb problems? I have one that I did that because it's in an extended/forever getting painted state.

Cool. Once a week is ambitious but will keep them very happy won't it? For me it's a toss up what smells better...starting up the bikes or the Traeger. The Traeger does a big smoke session about 3 minutes in to it's start up preheat cycle and it's quite nice. I make an effort to walk through it a few times.

Thanks Pravin. It's a one off custom RZV500. I put up a couple of mostly photo YT videos on the evolution of the build. Don't know if I'll finish the series though. There's also many videos of that bike at shows and rides on my YT channel.

I put an inline valve in the TDR's fuel line so I can run it dry in the fall before it sits for 5-6mos. Seems to work great, and no more carb cleaning every spring. 👍
