Title: DIY Port Job Tutoring
Post by: John Ritter on March 13, 2024, 04:43:11 PM
**** Single and twin persons have been selected. Thanks to those  that inquired.

I'm looking for 1 person to tutor doing their own Stage 1 cylinders in their own garage with their own tools. I'll take you through step by step at your pace up to 3 months. Most Q&A must be by phone, I'm not going to be a pen pal. I'll supply some written instructions, diagrams, print outs, examples etc. We will cover modifying the intake ports, reed valves, liners at transfer entry, transfer ducts, transfer windows, boost ports, exhaust ports, pistons, squish clearance and angles, head cc's, compression, timing etc. If you intend to modify the heads, you will most likely need an outside machining source.
Selection of who I help will be made after discussing your project. Message me through the forum.
My input and time are free but you will need to donate $25.00 or more to support the forum before we start.

Yamaha Enduro Singles, If you have an air cooled single, any size, that you would rather do, I'm open to discussing it.

Hi John,
Mike Wilson here. I bought a RD00 from Scott Reavis a few years back that I believe you built the engine, or maybe the top end ? I would love to take you up on the DIY porting training. I raced 2t for 35 years off road, just got into road racing 4 years ago and the hook set is deep, I love racing the RD's ! I have the bike I got from Scott and the bike I started out on as A&B for F500 & F750. I do all the engine assembly. Cranks, porting & cylinder work I would like to tool up to do over the next few years, already have a shop and some equipment. I am in Alabama about 20 minutes south of Barber Motorsports Park, please give me a call to discuss, 205-965-5009, thanks - Mike
