Title: Looking for Shock Treatment
Post by: BlueR32 on April 24, 2024, 07:29:13 PM
Looking for some help with rear shock for my RD/SRX project here:
https://www.2strokeworld.net/forum/index.php?topic=3909.msg52621#msg52621

I want to get the spring off this shock to re-paint it but I have no idea how it comes off. I was able to remove the collar to take the tension off the spring, but the spring is too narrow to fit over the fork end. I tried unscrewing the fork end but it is super tight and won't budge.

If this is a lost cause I'd be interested in alternative shock options. Eye to eye is 290mm and spring Outer Diameter is about 64mm.

Any/all help appreciated!

probably going to have to disassemble the shock, which is going to be a mess because its probably (reasonably) impossible to recharge.

i'll be honest, looks a lot like the TZR shock which i replaced with an r1 unit. i just swapped out the stock spring on the tzr shock onto the r1 body and it worked great. not sure if that's an option here, i did try to look up what that shock crossed to, and any info, didn't see anything. Im sure yss makes something what will work but no idea what.
