Title: Tapered Head Bearings question
Post by: Hawaii-Mike on June 16, 2019, 08:58:24 PM
I acquired a set of RD400 triple clamps with tapered bearings.  It has the top and bottom bearings and ONE race.  Is there a vendor that will sell one race?  Or do any 2SW members have a spare race they will sell?

Check with All Balls Racing (https://www.allballsracing.com/). When I had a packaged kit that was missing seals they were able to send individual parts to me.

EDIT: Thought I had added the part # for the RD400 kit, but must have forgotten to paste the link

If Allballs can't help I may have one around still, I had damaged one race and had to order another complete kit, but I'm not sure I still have it.

Halmic if you have one that will be great.  Please let me know.

Motodreams since you're in Canada I think the postage cost might be excessive, considering a new set of bearings costs about $35 shipped in the US.

All Balls does not sell the races separately.  They only sell bearings as a complete kit.

Thank you,
Mike

9 bucks at worst.  Likely far less on first class though I haven't used it to Hawaii.  I ship out of Montana.

Motodreams that's great, thanks.  I'll see if Halmic has one to save me the time of measuring (lazy me).  If not, I'll pull the race of the steering head and measure.

Thank you
