Getting ready to redo the front forks on my RD350. I have the All Balls seals and dust seals. But now I have read reports that the All Balls dust seals can crack and fall apart prematurely. I have experienced that situation with other rubber products the last few years so my antenna is up on this.
So, what is your experience with the All Balls seals? Can I depend on them to last? I appreciate the input.
I've had both good and mediocre results
Based on your experience(s), would you go to a different product? And if so, do you have a recommendation?
I mean, not really. I went ridiculous high dollar on the tzr, but wouldn't recommend it. I've always had good luck w parts unlimited as well. the all balls are of the sane quality I'd say. but the forks have to be almost perfect , obviously
I just put All Balls fork seals and dust covers on an old Kawasaki, even though they were "old stock open box" they were still pliable and in good shape. I've used them on my bikes before with no problems.
I've never had an issues with All Balls fork seals, dust seals, or wheel bearings. I've used the fork and dust seals on 3 different bikes and the wheel bearings on 2.
For seals I go to the local Bearing and Seal supplier and buy brand name seals such as SKF to get the best available. They are usually cheaper that an M/C supplier too.
I've had a mixed bag with them - a wheel bearing kit I bought from them were cheap Chinese bearings, but a dirt bike crankshaft bearing kit was OEM style Koyo bearings.
