Title: 1977 rd400 dg heads

i just bought a new never installed set of rd400 dg heads im just trying to find out if theres a left an right i only see rd4 stamped on one end of each head thanks for any help

are they legit old ones? did they come w the steel insert spacers as well?

yes a guy named kimmel racing had 2 sets siting in shop for the last 30 years. i had shop machine me some spacers im getting ready to put them i want to be sure there is not a left and right

You should get them recut with a modern design/squish. The stock ones are nothing more than bling.

Less than BLING, the ones I got had a combustion chamber of 27-28cc's... so you're pretty assured of losing HP... it's easier to make stock heads work

My 2cents.
I had SCR properly done my "DG4" heads for my 350.  I think they are 19ccdomes.
My swingarm is also from a 400, making it 2" over on my 350, which really tamed the wheelies.
Re-annodized and chromed head bolts, bling yes.  I don't care.
