I didn't use any. Doubled the gaskets on each side. Not for better sealing, but to space the reeds away just a little and I had 2 extra anyway.
Also didn't to a leakdown test after assembling the Chuck Q massaged top end with new bottom end seals. It was Spring of 2019. So far, so good.

Maybe that's too dangerous. Hoping to hear from others on this.

Welcome axldk6. Sounds familiar, like you are on the ZRX forum.

depends on the intakes. me? I use permatex anaerobic . it's red, has the consistency of grease. wipes off sides after install.

Hylomar or MotoSeal on all the gaskets and mating surfaces. It's messy, but it won't leak.

No sealant for me where ever there's a gasket, even on the intakes. That's what the gasket is for. Take your time, make sure everything is clean, smooth, no dings, dents, or burrs, and properly torqued and you shouldn't have any problems.

Plus one on Permatex anaerobic as per M in SC. I also use two gaskets, one under the rubber and one on the cage. Air leaks kill motors. I am in the process of two rebuilds due to bad crank seals.
