A "major announcement" is coming from the TLD team today. Wonder what it could be?

(Spotted at A1 yesterday)

debut of Ducati SX bikes

btw: I read TLD bailed on sponsoring Gas Gas team and KTM brought them in-house on equal status with their existing KTM & Husky sponsored teams.

Ducati won't be competing this year in SX or outdoor. The entries are locked and contracts done for '25.
They're just starting their big marketing push before joining in the 2026 season. The change of bike makes sense since GasGas will likely be bailing out after their contact ends this season thanks to the financial debacle at PMG/KTM and Ducati wants an in to the US MX market.
And the best part is they won't even need to change their team color! :celebrate:

Ducati will be parading around their new 450Desmo MX throughout the season. Paolo Ciabatti was there today to help Troy with the reveal:

They'll even have it on display at the MotoGP event in Austin.
And you'll be able to buy a 450Desmo MX in the US in July

yep, everything is pointing towards 2026 season for Duc racing debut. Following same trajectory as Triumph entry. Barcia is in his last year of current contract with GasGas (re-dedicated himself to serious training) and might be a good fit here. There's apparently some production rules to be followed with X amount of production bikes sold to the public in 2 increments before new teams can enter race series- but looks like Triumph didn't comply with the targets and still got in  :dawg:

There's some really good running threads on all this over at VITAL MX. More on the Presser here:

I pretty much live right in the middle for the Tampa ( which I am going) and the Daytona races. btw, I used to live in Daytona and always attended racing at the speedway, bitd.

I've totally missed the news on all this. I don't follow MX like I use to. Who's design is the Ducati?
