If yes, are they direct bolt on or need modification?
Not plug and play. RDLC or Banshee. Not RZ. I think YZ 85 will work too with pocket enlarged. People do it with adding epoxy or welding between the fins to prevent breakthrough and grinding the reed pocket.
Consensus seems to be V-Force 3 or 4 for Suzuki RM 100 fit the pocket and work fine, but the bolt holes need enlarging to fit the RD bolt pattern. IIRC opening the bolt holes to 9mm allowed the stock pattern to fit. Don't recall if this required a spacer but it's a good idea anyway. 10mm thick or smaller between the head and reed block.
Mark did a nice writeup on this mod a while back. Search the site.

Thanks for the reply. I'm just getting back into RD projects I started 25+ years ago. Basically starting with builders that I want to put back together and get on the road. Only planning to use stock or bolt on items. If I live long enough I'll revisit them later to make them pretty and faster :burnout: I had a large stash of NOS/OEM+ items tucked away in storage with the bikes, but that seems to have disappeared when 1 of my bikes got stolen out of the unit. I got the bike back but lost a lot of other stuff that was easy to grab and go
lc uses same as aicooled (SIZE WISE). I run 34mm flatslides though these, plenty of reed tip area. IMHO Until you get north of 60 HP these will do just fine.

My used cages sets are all crap. I was offered a discounted set of these I was watching on eBay, so thought if they would fit with no modification, I would give them a try. Would have saved me work with getting both the new cages + carbon reeds. Oh well.

Here's the specs of some Yamaha reeds. The Banshees are even wider than RZ.

Ed Erlenbach, who knows way more about Yamaha engines and making power than most of us here, has some good info that's still available on his old site: http://erlenbachracing.co/reedcages%20mods.htm

Do yourself a favour and do not buy Vitos parts.

any particular reason you say this? Seems to be some people here happy with their updated RD cranks. I'm passing on the cages, but thinking to buy 1 of the Vito cranks after I get a couple runners on the road with HPR cranks I bought.
My Vito's crank is fine, or at least it's made it like 7 years without unplanned disassembly. Not sure I'd want one in my race bike...
no probs with mine either. :umm:

The RD cranks may be the only thing he sells that are decent quality. The Banshee cranks do not have a good reputation and a lot of other stuff they sell are very poor quality, same as companies like BPR
