Title: 79 RD400 headlight
Post by: triple1972 on June 29, 2019, 12:50:49 AM
Hello  Recently paid 90$ for an Oem nos sealed beam headlamp for my Daytona. Beautiful no scratches and no yellowing. Loved it for a month until the low beam quit on me last night. Can anyone tell me what my options are and who sells it. Don't mind paying good $ but I need one that is reliable. Was trying to keep the bike original but buying another nos 100$ lamp is not for me. Thanks guys.

I have this one from Economy, haven't had any issues. Looks like they are sold out. I'm sure John will get more in.

This was on my RD 400 when I got it.  Sort of just fits.  Only slightly loose in the headlight housing but still acceptable.
What helps is that the removable H4 bulb and plug in the back take up space inside the housing and keep it somewhat fixed inside the rat's nest of the stock wiring.
