Title: RD250 Exhaust Blowback at Exhaust Flange/Chamber header
Post by: BlueR32 on May 02, 2025, 12:19:27 PM
Hi All,
I tried a few searches but perhaps I don't have the right keywords as nothing popped up. I have DG chambers on the project:

I'm getting quite a bit of unburnt oil/fuel blowback where the expansion chamber header fits over the flange. It's making a mess of the engine casings and even the front fender/mudguard. Any suggestions for how best to seal the connection?

Goop it up with very high temp RTV then reassemble.

'the right atuff' sealant. it's not cheap but get the atuff in the cheez qhiz can. however, that's pretty normal for them to seep
