Title: YZinger freshen up
Post by: Jspooner on May 04, 2025, 12:00:07 AM
It's time to freshen up the PW for the grandkids. This is an 81, I bought it in about 88 or 89 when my oldest son was 3 or 4. It's been sitting for the last 25 years. It started like it ran yesterday. It's gonna get a 60cc top end, new cables, tires, bars and grips, forks and plastics, and a few other bits. Should be fun. I've also got a 1980 YZ50 that will probably get freshened up as well. Parts are a little harder to find for that tho.

Is this going to get the usual Spooner treatment? Water-cooled upgrade, Lectron, and custom-fabbed bits? :dawg:

Well, I was thinking about buying an FMF chamber for it, and it IS going to get a 60cc top end. 😁

It's mostly done. Just a few odds and ends to finish up and she's a runner. It got a new 60cc top end, tires, cables, brakes, bars, grips, forks, plastics and seat.
