Hello all, long time lurker first time poster.
Currently installing a VAPE ignition on my Daytona Special. I've reached Chuck's post on installation which is immensely helpful but I still have two questions.
1- The yellow wiring going from the stock points set up to the headlight relay gets removed when the old points were removed. I'd like the keep the headlight relay if possible, what can I tie the yellow wire from the headlight relay into now that the points are gone?
2- The VAPE instructions say to "connect the red wire from the new regulator (plus 12v) to the red running from the fuse box formerly to the stock regulator". The stock regulator does not have a red wire running to it- only black, brown, and blue. The IS a red wire running to the stock rectifier which I've confirmed is connected to the red wire from the battery. Should I use this instead?

red wire, run to battery from vape regulator, yes. as far as the headlight relay no idea. maybe trigger it from the relay installed for the kill switch? and welcome to the forum
The yellow wire (ac) energizes the stock daytona headlight relay and comes from the original stator. Just run switched 12V dc (brown wires all over the bike) to it instead of the yellow wire. Will function normally as it does with the stock ignition.
