Recently saw them on a Rd400, wondering what pipes, and what rpm range he might expect
Jemco is my guess
cones and overall shape look exactly like a set of DGs just bought off eBay. Only exception is the rear mount looks different but could have been modified to work with those rear sets.

that's also what threw me off. the rear mount . years ago I had a 350 w a 400 motor and they had pipes similar. looked like dgs but slightly different like those. they were coffmans from what I was told and they actually worked well. they DID have a connecting internal tube from the last cone to the silencer tube, I learned that when I took the baffle out to repack it. IF thats what those are, I'd expect really good street behavior. the thing pulled like a tractor. I'm thinking maybe not jemco because his headpipes usually have a straight section in them. 0.02
Those aren't DG's...

I agree
I never heard of coffmans.
The rear bracket looks thoroughly well made...
heres the one i had. 350 w 400 motor. also had vm34s on it.
NOT Dgs, i know this for a fact.
they must have changed the design some time ago. there's multiple vendors on eBay selling these (using same stock photos)

I have a brand-new set exactly like this hanging in my shop right now a buddy sold me ~10 years ago. These have the different flange + metal DG badges riveted on.
I also have 2 used sets 1-350, 1-400 at least 20 years old w/this configuration instead of extra-long straight silencer. Both have standard header flanges: 1 has metallic riveted badges and other has decals. Both sets are pretty dented, and I just bought a really nice used set for $350.00 delivered I'm waiting on that aren't dented and will save me work repairing.
update time. The pipes I bought on eBay finally arrived and I got to inspect them closely and compare against others I had on hand. The eBay pictures were not real clear but the price was right, and I think it's solved now, see pictures...
1st 2 pix are the new arrivals- they were advertised as "1976-1978 DG Rd400 exhausts in VERY good condition".
3rd picture is 1 of new pipes against actual RD400 pipe from my shop.
4th picture is header comparison of the pipes in picture #3.
5th picture is 1 new pipe vs. early Spec II pipe (notice cones and rear bracket placement).
6th picture is header comparison of pipes from picture #5 (notice mount spring tabs).
after closer look, my conclusion based on cone designs and placement of rear bracket and design of header spring mount tabs the "new" pipes are Spec II that someone removed stock Aluminum silencers and added custom modified stinger of their own design. Curious how they will fit and run
weird
most def. funny how much they look like the pipes on 400 in original post in this thread :gentleman:
