Title: eBay International Shipping Problem and Resolution
Post by: jradnich on July 26, 2025, 11:40:58 AM
I've used the eBay international shipping program a couple of times as a seller. It's nice, just ship it to a shipping hub and eBay takes care of the rest. Most of the time.
Here was my problem, I have a pair of used RD400 cylinders listed and someone in Australia wants them. But eBay has international shipping off and even after I turn it on, the listing shows United States as the only destination.
I found out eBay won't allow their international program for USED parts listed in engines and a couple of other categories. Solution: when selecting a category for listing, make the sub-category other motorcycle parts and the other countries list will populate.

Here's a story for you. I sold a carb for a little Italian scooter on Ebay a few years ago. I think the guy that bought it was in Spain. I used Ebay shipping. It went to the international shipping center. The next thing I know the guy contacts me and said it was confiscated and he's not going to get it. I was able to keep my money but not sure he got his money back. I few months later there's the same carb on Ebay listed using my pictures and description form some seller in the USA. Riddle me that one.  :umm:
