Title: swingarm questions
Post by: BCRD on August 16, 2025, 01:41:34 PM
How much longer were the DG swingarms over stock? +1" on the rd350 and also +1 on the rd400? And how long is a stock rd400 swingarm from center of pivot bolt to center of adjuster? Im in the process of getting a replica DG arm made up and it appears that a previous owner had mounted the stock 350 swingarm on my 400. trying to confirm this.

easiest way to know is if the large cutout for the axle is on the RIGHT, its for a 400. on the left, its a 350. (or 250)

memory serves correctly, stock 350 arm is 15 inches pivot to center of axle adjustment.

I've done the opposite, my 350 has a 400 DG swinger.  That totals 2" over...

When I made the required bushings, I made several should anyone need one.

Stock swing arms center of pivot to center of axle adjust.   350 - 15 1/2"    400 - 16 3/4"

I have some length data saved from many years ago. This info was gathered by Surewin and posted on the old site that was lost. I'm wondering if there's a typo in the length for the DG 350, and if it should be 16-5/8" or if the 16-3/8" is accurate. Should be easy from someone here to confirm.

LENGTH (measured from swingarm pivot centerline to axle slot center position)
YAMAHA OE
RD350/250: 15-5/8"
RD400:        16-1/2"

DG PERFORMANCE (longer than OE by about 1 inch)
RD350:    16-3/8"
RD400:    17-1/2"

Man that DG stuff looks nice on there!

The rest of it looks pretty good too.

I had a DG head on my RM and DG pipes on my RD400 back in the day.

Where can we see more of your RD?
