Title: Front wheel assembly RD400C
Post by: Membername on July 04, 2019, 06:50:33 PM
I put the front wheel in and torqued it to 70 foot lbs.  the speedometer is in the groove on the left fork.  Is this gap normal on the left side? (Green arrow)

Thanks,
Karen

There should be a gap there. Loosen the clamp on the bottom of the fork slider so the fork leg can relax and then tighten it back up. Whatever gap is there is fine. The shoulder of the axle is actually up against the speedo drive and holding it in place.
