What is the best way to handle these breaks in the wiring loom? Can I just use electrical tape or is there a better solution?
funny wiring story first. rewired a tail light. solder joint and taped the wire. the tail light is near the exhaust. 2t smoke dissolves the glue in electrical tape. even though well taped it fell off after a year. took me forever to find that short. now I use tape + zip ties.
the breaks you have are not in the loom but in its cover. water gets in those breaks in the rain and makes trouble over time. I use ultra black, tape, and zip ties. I always tape and zip tie my splices after learning a hard lesson.
