Title: Premix with autolube shaft in place
Post by: SDDaytona on November 01, 2025, 12:34:51 AM
In the process of rebuilding my pump. Will the autolube shaft be damaged if I plug the carb oil intake ports and run it with the pump off the bike?

I've never considered doing this but curious as to why it's not advised.

the shaft won't be supported and the bushing has nothing to hold it in. Will likely damage the gear and puke trans oil as the shaft will just wobble all over the place
