yup. the 67 kawasaki had the original af in there. id been meaning to replace it for years but was never much of an issue. but, wanted to get it done. so, its basically a cone filter in a housing bonded to a plate. the material is some cloth.. that resembles camel hair or stringy felt. weird. so I hwat tuned the filter off the base and used an ebay cheaper filter i had on hand. used the heat gun, pulled the base off and installed it in the stock housing/base, rtving it back onto the factory plate. seems to be ok. added a few more pics, as to those who aren't familiar w rotary valve bikes this whole setup is pretty bizarre

I have a pretty baller old AF air filter, too. No camel hair but plenty of mouse excrement. :shocked:
