Title: CFMoto coming to World SBK
Post by: SoCal250 on December 13, 2025, 11:31:44 AM
There are reports that Chinese manufacturer CFMoto is planning on competing in World Superbike in 2027, now that that they have launched their new V4 superbike, the V4SR-RR. In addition to bringing in some top engineering talent including a former Ducati engineer, the company has signed Italian former Moto3 rider and 2019 MotoE champion Matteo Ferrari as a test rider.

The arrival of CFMoto into World Superbike would make it the fourth Chinese manufacturer to be present in the WorldSBK paddock after QJMotor, Kove, and ZXMoto, the latter joining WorldSSP for the first time in 2026.

Will be interesting to see how their V4 holds up. Hope it gets KTM motivated to getting a street version of their V4 out to the masses.

Doesnt CF make engines for KTM?

Seems like they probably have a head start as a result.

Yes, they supply KTM with the engines for their mid-sized bikes, while Bajaj makes the smaller engines (390 and under).
