Y'All ready?
Both the RZs I am bringing are pretty much ready. Both of them need rear tires. The Gray Ghost 421 has pretty much destroyed a BT46 in 1500 miles....but they haven't been easy miles...
Maybe next year...
By then I hope to have my business sold, be fully retired, and have my TZR completed and on the road.
I'll be watching for updates and videos from the event. Cycle Drag has been there the last few years covering it for their YouTube channel.
It's fun to see all the cool 2-strokes - and it gets me motivated!
Have fun guys!
I personally do not start looking forward to the next deals gap meet until the last day half way home..
I think the ice should be melted by now...

Orderd all the stuff needed for both RZs and one thing I just wanted to change. 2 new Bridgestone B$46 rear tires from Revzilla, a Dyna coil kit and some inner tubes from John at Economy Cycle plus a t shirt so I could get free shipping. thanks John!
My wife is stick of hearing the countdown. I still tell her everyday.
Mine starts bitching about it in February usually...and it continues pretty much uninterrupted until I get back.
A closer inspection of the White RZ prompted another Revzilla order of a BT46 front tire.
Angies coming this year and is excited about it. also bringing our dog, Cooper, along this time.
pretty sure the lineup is still the cb1100 and 72 t500. might try to squeeze the ls2 of 67 kawi on there. only real thing I need to do is finalize the trailer refurb.
There's my sweet boy Cooper
tick tock

Our garage runneth over. 3 RZs, (two Hot Rod 421s) and a Ported 350, a GT 250 a new Kawasaki H2, (Token 4 Stroke), a GT550 and an RE5.
I made the 500 mile trip in 8.5 hours with one meal break and two fill ups. Set the cruise on 77 and rolled on. Averaged 16 MPG towing.

Looks like good times!
Hoping you have good weather for the entire event.
Thanks for posting the photos for those of us stuck at home!
Looks like a great time!
Awesome! I'm sure many of us will be living vicariously through the pictures. I can't wait for the CycleDrag video of the meet.
 Looks like fun! Keep the pics coming

I keep seeing that someone has a Suzuki rotary. Seems like only a brave and dedicated person would be involved in that.
HOWEVER, WHERE did those cool wheels come from on the yellow RD from PA?
From here, wheels look like Kawasaki
Hopefully when I retire in a few more years, I'll be able to dedicate some time to head down that way and smoke with you guys...

That 1 is a beauty for sure :vroom:
Vesco related but slightly off-topic fun fact: Don Vesco Yamaha in El Cajon was my go-to shop in the 1970s and 1980s. 10 miles from home. He used to display some of his land speed record bikes in the showroom. 1st place I ever saw FPP pipes. Bought some for my 1975 RD250. Kel Carruthers was frequently hanging around and quite friendly too. Kel lived about 2 minutes from my house, and I went over there a couple times.
the guy is asking 11k or so. as a bike its nothing technically exceptional but it is very cool
not a great video but the t500 going down the hill. at the beginning of the run is Jamey on his h2 wheelying out of sight. zoom in. me i ride like a sack of potatoes :Clown:

t500 stood tall all week. no issues :boom:
Tim: what was Chuck's feedback regarding the 421?
He said at the end of the video,"Thats not a street bike, that's a race bike".
He also said he really liked it, plenty of horsepower and that it handled well.
I rode Josh Long's 421 that is nearly identical to mine tuning and components. His pulls harder than mine and is easier to ride
He is running 16/40 gearing and mine is 17/40. I ordered a 16 tooth counter-shaft sprocket. I think the lower gearing makes better use of the power.
Thanks, I appreciate a ride review!
if i were ever to get an rz again, and i don't plan on it, its the only way to go. hands down
