Giving the Phoenix Project some much needed love. Tires. New Unis and a repaint on the Denco Killers. And a good scrubbing and detailing while it is on the lift.
I did a compression test as this motor has 10,287 hard street miles on it. Years ago Scott Clough Racing did a mild port job, decked the cylinders and reshaped the combustion chambers on the heads.
All 3 are 170 PSI and change. I borescoped all 3 cylinders and everything looks good, really good for over 10K.

Pipes off. Scrubbed up the front of the motor to include the flanges and chamber condoms which will be re-used.

Polished the engine covers with Blue Magic, then White Diamond metal polish and re-spaced the rear set shifter linkage so hopefully my boots won't continue to rub the paint off of the LH chamber.
Ahh so that's the bike in need of the Denco decals. Looks like a wild ride. Did you say you modded that with a 750 engine?...I think I read a posting about that awhile back.
I always wanted a Kawi triple. Looking at mostly H2's and H1's over the years. My stepfather had one in his backyard over 30 years ago when he and my mom met. It was a factory blue 72. The engine was outta the bike and everything was just sitting neglected for years outside. He eventually buried the engine in a need for fill making a driveway and I think the rest of it was hauled off to a metal scrapyard. Pretty silly thinking back on it but I do believe the bike may have been too far gone for much more than a few salvageable parts.
I actually got a thrill window shopping on FB Marketplace yesterday. There's an ad for a 70' H1 in the Peacock Grey color in really nice condition. However the owner wants kinda top dollar for it I think. I'll post a link to add in the watch section. It's a pretty nice example.
On a side note I dig the Subaru floor mat. Good re purposing. :thumbs:
Thanks. Yep it is an H2 motor, pretty sporty and still strong in its' 22nd year of life. It will pick the front wheel up at 73 MPH with M in SC in the pilot's seat.
Mark also did all the wiring and initial tuning. Mark did all the machine work to modify the triple trees to accept the 37MM EX 500 forks, set up the rear wheel, made spacers and modified the sprocket carrier to center the wheel in the swingarm.

That bike is righteous. Rode a 350/500/750 a few times back in the day (2Steves from this forum being one of them). They accelerated and sounded like nothing else, always a place in my heart for these even though I never owned one and probably never will. Party on sir.

Center pipe is about 1/2 sanded. I hate paint prep.
Have you looked for anyone that does media blasting in the area?
A moderate blasted profile will give you the best adhesion and highest durability compared to sanding.
What paint do you plan to use? Do you want a flat or semi-gloss finish?

I plan to do it the same thing I did to the 75RD350B. 2000 degree on the header pipes and Duplicolor Ceramic caliper paint on the rest.

Got me beat. I am at 170psi all 3.
What's the power band feel like and what is iggy timing?

Pretty linear. Good low end. On the pipe at 6000. Pipes won't let it turn much past 7500. Plenty of power. Timing is a couple degrees( width of timing mark if memory serves) retarded from stock.
