I noted some oil seepage out of the tach drive block off plate on my post flight inspection after a pretty vigorous new shock evaluation ride the other day. I hate leaks.

There was little to no resistance upon removal. I cleaned everything good and found a suitable John Deere o-ring out of a seal kit and gave everything a nice coat of case sealant for good measure.

I noted considerable resistance while reinstalling the block off plate and a little bead of sealant oozed out around the edges. That should do it.

85 miles of 2 stroke debauchery today. I am pleased to report the tach drive block off plate dry as a bone.

I'm not sure 85 miles is enough to truly determine the success of your repair; perhaps you should consider another 85!
