Found this on CL (not mine). Description made me laugh. Are these bikes that scary to ride?

Supposed to be pretty nuts and good for highsides. Our track in Calgary before it closed still had the lap record held by a Honda RS250 which is Honda's equiv for the TZ. This is with many current race bikes on the track.
I LOVE it, the bike and the verbage. :celebrate:
That was a good read
Not sure if the written ad is supposed to be funny, arrogant, or both? :umm: 8)
That's not too far off. A touch of hyperbole. Pity there's zero spares. He should at least have a box of used pistons, barrels, heads and cranks - the usual consumables.
Motor will need to be refurbished and probably new set of slicks too. Looks clean.
He's almost as articulate as my ex wife's attorney. Nice bike too.
What I see is that he has the chain as tight as a guitar string. Which I would take an educated guess to mean he bought the TZ as simply an 'objet d'art' and he knows literally nothing about motorcycles, much less this TZ. Which makes his rant, just that. :knightpoop:
However, the purchaser would be buying the bike in the pictures, not the rant. But I think the price is about 1/3 too high with no spares. :twocents:
guy sounds like a bag of richards. Bikes sweet though, but yeah, way too steep.
Ah he's just writing an ad that'll get attention. Although he doesn't say a word about actually riding it. I agree about the asking price too.
When I sold my XR750 (stupid move-wish I still had it) I made sure it went far away and never had to see it again. So many don't realize the work needed to keep a real race bike in good running shape. And what it takes to stay on top of one.
HMM, " a bag of richard's " ? never heard that one before.
