I can't believe John McGuinness hasn't died yet.

Ignoring the Dickwad comment above it's been a fabulous 6 days of racing so far, the weather has been superb Fri thru Tuesday but today's not looking so good. The meet/show/track day at Jurby on Sunday is like nothing you'll ever see elsewhere so get your trip for next year booked now, you know it makes sense.
Sav0r please don't bother 🤐
I've watched the TT, albeit from a far, for some 30 years.
I'm not wishing death on John McGuinnes. He's been a hero of mine for at least 15 years. But that statistic alone is why it's surprising to me that he's not dead, especially considering the level that he has done it at.
So be daft all you like, the TT is the most dangerous motorsport in the world, and it is in fact surprising he's survived.
Being a Kiwi this is who we look for, pretty amazing rider. I remember his first bout in the 90s
Unfortunately we lost Chris Swallow at Ballaugh Bridge

My riding buddy Pete Murray USA finished 17th! :taz:

It was very sad to lose Chris, when they red flagged the race his Dad Bill pulled in where we were at Ginger Hall along with 2 other riders. Nobody knew who had had crashed but that became very obvious once Bill had stopped as he was distraught and the Marshall's & the other 2 riders were trying to console him. Poor Guy started behind his Son and had to come past where he'd crashed :'(
On a much brighter note to was brilliant to see Bruce back here riding again let alone winning !!!
The reception he got was fantastic which made him extremely emotional, fairytale stuff indeed

+1 because I read your comment the other day just as you describe :vroom:I would add that I recall Valentino Rossi taking a lap or two around that course and his comments were basically that these guys are crazy to do this. Valentino plainly stated that although he races at death defying speeds there are a lot more controls in place on a proper race track.
Really cool event though and a great thread. I envy you folks who are out there enjoying it. God bless!

The year I went over for the TT, McGuinness won the Senior, the Junior, and the Superbike race -- all with new lap records :notworthy: It was nuts.
Seeing the IOMTT in person was a life-changing bucket-list event! I can't wait to go back!
