Title: Tab-Loc Radial Head for RD 350?
Post by: IR8D8R on August 27, 2019, 04:13:50 PM
On EBay. I would have put in the watch section but I have never heard of these.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/DG-Sunburst-Head-Yamaha-RD-250-350-400-R3-YDS-Suzuki-X6-Bridgestone-Tab-Lock-A7/254228071942?hash=item3b312c8606:g:YyIAAOSwpCFczOpo

Y3 designation. Looks to me like a DG knockoff. Anybody know anything? They were $29.95 a pair when new.

well, thats a new one. nifty!

makes you wonder if dg bought them outright and started making the rd heads.  :umm: there HAS to be a connection somewhere.

and like zero comes up on the googles.  :haw:

I saw those a few months ago and tried to do some research on them. I would guess that TabLoc was the original manufacturer and then DG bought them out in the late-70's. The vintage fact sheet in the listing is obviously before DG Performance starting selling "Sunburst heads"

Update: These are to fit YDS-3 250. So it is earlier than RD.

Exactly, that's partly why I believe TabLoc was the original manufacturer and then DG took over in the mid-70's

They would fit on the original Batcycle!  :haw:
