Getting ready to paint my tank and side covers. Found a painter last week.
Chuck has hooked me up with some great graphics I will put on and have cleared over.
Does anyone know the paint code for Yamaha 0026 Competition Yellow? I have seen a few things on line and one company saying they sell it but I was hoping to get something close enough so the painter can just mix it up.
Thanks.
I am in the same situation right now. Hopefully someone can help us.
This is what I have found
Yamaha 0026 Competition Yellow
No one seem to be able to make this anymore.
Holts color match called Yamaha Giallo code A284 (I think this may be a mix you can do and put into a spray can)

PPG color code for the '85 RZ yellow
Yellow: dbc83033k
RAL reference 1028.
this one may be the best option.
26 CPY
Not sure what this is. it was on a page they guy gave this code and the color was if not perfect very close.
I am hoping to call the painter and give him these options and see if they mean anything to him.
There is Color Rite but they want 134.00 a PINT. Link below.

I was sure I would have 12 guys with easy to make color codes. I will share any info I get.
Guys,
Any automotive paint shop should have a color gun. You take in the clear coated decal covered side panel.
They mix the paint for you.
They show you how close the final color is while you are still there.
I doubt Chuck's decals are OEM therefore no doubt they are not a perfect OEM color anyways...
You will be better off having the paint matched than going off a 'code' if you are not using OEM decals.
This is really standard in the painting industry.

I'm not sure about Paul, but i have no pannel to get scanned.
Give HVC a call. They gave me a code for the Daytona, it was from a 1999 Toyota Lexus, match was perfect.
They have restored and painted quite a few bikes and have library of paint codes. :twocents:
I don't know much. But I heard someone say Fiat yellow was close.
I found this today and I think this it is close. It is RAL 1026 . Photo attached.
I think I may be overthinking it like I do everything. I will wait to see the graphics if they come with color I will as said above, just need to match it.
Could use Ferrari fly yellow.
Colorite might be able to help you.
