Post by: Organicjedi on June 29, 2020, 11:02:22 PM
Is this someone's from the forum? I've seen it before.

Nice build.  https://losangeles.craigslist.org/sfv/mcy/7150000388.html

https://youtu.be/nYo7WUodFj8 Copy and paste to hear it running.
Asking $4750.00 or OBO. THE BIKE IS LOCATED IN HENDERSON NEVADA NOW.
Selling my Yamaha RD 400 because I have bought a Honda CBR1000F now. When I bought the Yamaha it was a very cool bike and a lot of work had been done to it, the oil injection pump had been taken off and I just didn't want a bike I had to carry oil in a back pack to ride on a trips over a 120 miles. I started looking for oil pumps, but in the mean time I came across this very cool Honda CBR1000F and bought it. Well I now have 2 oil injection pumps and 1 rebuild kit for them, but I have lost interest, so it is time to sell the bike and let someone else enjoy it. A lot of money was spent building the Yamaha and I will include a list at the end of the description. The bike starts and runs, but I think the carbs need adjusting or cleaning and new throttle cable, but hard to find someone in Vegas who know how to work on these 2 stroke bikes. Pictures don't do the bike justice, you really need to see it in person.
Ok here is a list of what has been done to this beautiful Yamaha RD400.
-The frame, swing arm, brackets, headlight bucket, triple trees and gauges were all stripped and powder coated.
-new tapered steering bearings installed.
-new progressive forks springs and oil.
-new old stock red wing shocks.
-new swing arm bronze bushings.
-new Tarrozi folding rear sets with custom made aluminum brackets.
-Yamaha R6 rear master cylinder installed.
-front Nissan master cylinder rebuilt.
-front and rear brake calipers rebuilt with stainless steel pistons.
-custom braided brake lines installed.
-new tires and tubes.
-new hardware and grommets.

ENGINE:
- rebuilt crank with PRO X connecting rods with silver bearings.
- banshee pistons installed.
- new clutch plates and springs.
- Dave F carburetor modification done, boost bottle and spacers, Y booth intake with K&N air - air filter.
- new DG expansion chambers.

BODYWORK:
-custom HOUSE OF KOLOR paint job in mint condition ($1200).
-stripes, lettering and numbers are all painted (not decals).
- custom seat from AIRTECH, it has an aluminum under pan that hinges to the frame and locks just like the stock seat. Oil Injection pump has been removed, but have 2 oil injection pumps if you want to reinstall them. I run premix Yamaha lube at 32-1 right now. Might be interested in a possible trade, what have you got?
Any questions feel free to ask and I will try and answer them?
