Title: 1998 Aprilia RS250
Post by: IR8D8R on November 30, 2020, 03:31:15 PM
It's from that John Hollywood character in Vegas $14,995

1118 miles claimed on it. I knew a gal 25 years ago who inherited a '69 Dodge Daytona Hemi from her father that still had the original redline tires on it and 17k on the odo. I was rebuilding the fuel system when her brother took her to court over it. I just wanted to drive it once. Why do people buy things and stick them in a shed? This was probably behind the couch...

This guy looks like a used car salesman to me. He also has that "NIB" Euro RD400 for $12 grand that has been around.

I don't actually know what these are worth but $14k seems high to me. I'm sure it's a great machine and all. Don't think I would pay that much for any 250. This has a Suzuki RGV 250 IIRC.

The second one has been around awhile, the first would look good in my Livingroom.  http://www.2strokeworld.net/forum/index.php?topic=2557.0

Yeah I hate to admit it but I really have no idea of the value of many classic/antique two stroke streetbikes but I like em and always say if the right one came round locally I would be interested. I often used Ebay as a barometer for the market for em which is sadly a bit overpriced. Kaplan Cycles, don't mean to out them because I absolutely love to watch their videos and see their auctions but the prices on even their dirt bikes, maybe it's me. Just seem to be top dollar and then some. I think there's an auction for an 83' Honda CR480 and it looks pretty cherry but the buy it now is like 9k  :umm: I dunno maybe outta touch on that one but sure makes me wish I hadn't of parted with my 82' Suzuki RM465 for like 500 bucks but that was about 25 years ago.
