Title: RD400F Right Kill Switch
Post by: Milan on January 20, 2021, 02:07:42 PM
Looking to replace my right kill switch assembly.
Mine is kinda faded.

I see plenty on Ebay, But...
They all have the On/OFF light switch knob.

My bike does not have that switch.
Headlights come on & stay on when bike starts.

Mine is just 'blanked" off.
does not look like a plug, but part of the casting.

There is a guy on CL that I think has one in San Jose, but he does not respond to emails.

The RD400F right control switch is a 1-year-only and 1-model-only part. Unique to the Daytona like a lot of other parts. It's going to be tough finding a nice one.

You can always repaint the one you have and install new decals.

I used a repro standard RD400 switch and wired the headlight into the switch, deleting the headlight relay. I much prefer the manual switch over the relay.

Anyone in San Jose, that can pick this CL switch up for me.
pictures show only (2) wires and seems to be no headlight switch.

Same casting as the LC in Canada , no switch for headlights
