The red would have to go if it was mine, as would the blue 'bars.

Splendid; they remind me of the wheels on my brother's El Camino SS back in the day.

General Chatter / Treatland sale
September 07, 2026, 09:52:33 AM
This site is fun to explore, and they have stuff for motorcycles as well as mopeds and scooters. It's a 20% off sale, with free shipping over $100; use the code treatathon. HPI ignition, anyone?

Pretty shiny things!

I'm not sure 85 miles is enough to truly determine the success of your repair; perhaps you should consider another 85!

The 14 tooth rear sprocket must be rare. I won't be referring to Skynet for technical specifications anytime soon.

I was THIS CLOSE to nabbing an S3 a few years ago. It probably would have ruined my life, if I was lucky.

The slotted brass dude is your needle jet (emulsion tube) and pushes out the top. Screw the main jet in and push or gently tap on it to push the needle jet out. The needles, slides and needle jets should be marked just like main and pilot jets, with teeny tiny numbers.

The rectangular mirror looks fine from the rider's perspective, and I think you should go with whatever gives you the best rearward view. If you put the bike in a show, you'll probably take the mirrors off anyway.

Love it. Well done; if I were to offer one critique, it'd be the rectangle mirrors. I think round mirrors would suit the lines of the bike better.  :twocents:

Wait, I missed something; the TZR petcock wasn't keeping the bowls full but you extended the knob anyway?

Nice enough for me. I passed on a ratty one 25 years ago after an unimpressive test ride. I remember thinking it wasn't as quick as my RZ, but I probably should have bought it.
