Not speaking for Rizingson, but I'm in SW CO (Cortez) and I don't see any modern housing developments like that around here. Been to Grand Junction a few times and those large lots with lots of open space remind me of what I see along I-70 West of Junction.

sand in intake sounds like a leak past your air filter. Or not seating/sealing the filter base properly. I have lots of that era MX, YZ, etc. and the boot connecting carb and airbox tends to harden and shrink making it very hard to get a complete seal on carb or airbox.

Also, if you are running a K&N filter in airbox those can pass fine silt like particles if not using an outer foam skin. Especially vulnerable if you are riding in sand washes, riverbeds or very dusty conditions a lot.

I'd like to see what Rizingson could do with that little gem  :vroom:

occasionally over the years when I find a broken/missing ring, pin clip, etc. It is just gone- not in the lower end or in squish area- gone. I can only assume it went out the exhaust port and feel lucky.

Some Yamahas like mid-1970s singles do too on primary side of crank between collared end of primary gear and main bearing. The O-Ring is #17 in below parts blow up diagram. It is for 1975 MX400B.

is it possible to fit a small O-ring on shaft directly behind counter sprocket?

I wouldn't get too excited about any refunds coming soon. What was struck down by the court was the use of an emergency rule universally beyond intent. There are several other legitimate tariff rules available to the Executive branch to achieve the same effect. Those will be overlapped on top of each other as deadlines expire. They just have to mind the deadlines so there is no gap in the applications of each new tariff under existing rules.

yeah, the tank is so shiny I have a hard time making out the outline of the actual dent. 1 other suggestion might be a "paintless" dent removal service. They can do some amazing things with their expander tools in tight place and includes creases. I used to live in San Diego and know there are multiple places that offer this including some mobile businesses. It might all come down to how much $ a person is willing to spend...

yep done that :dawg: If motor in bike and chain on I used to just put in gear and step on brake and use the breaker bar or big wrench. The penny in Primary gears worked too.

might want to try 1 of these...

I bought 1 but haven't tried it yet. Some good reviews on it. Anxious to practice with it.

Quote from: RDDave on February 22, 2026, 12:23:21 PMI have impacts. I just didn't want to hit that bolt with that much energy before I had some idea of what I was doing.

I found that using my oil filter wrench is the best way to hold the rotor. Almost fits like it was made for it.

.

Having no idea what I was doing never stopped me

I always use my air impact for stuff like this. Don't have to go crazy but that quick initial "braap" to jar it loose a little is a must for me...
