A complete wast of my time. Only got maybe 1/2 way through and had to
turn it off. Pictures of some very nice bikes.
Otherwise worthless. I hate Ai generated videos.

Any news / updates. Things we should know?

Turning Wrenches / Re: RD350 Oil Pump Question

socal250 or Arrow to the yellow phone.....
Finding the exact spring might be a problem.
The roll pin, when you can find the diameter/length
 could be found at McMaster-Carr.
I'll defer to the real experts here for more info.

Interesting! Never heard of this bike before.
Curious if this is a Derbi Motor? But, 4 Speed?
Wondering if this is correct.....
 Cheers.

Thanks Max.  I was first to arrive last year and helped with set up.
 It was quick and easy.

I am looking forward to attending the event again this year.
What I am not looking forward is packing up the trailer at
4:00 am in the dark for the two hour drive north.
Is there any chance I could arrive Saturday night and stay in
my Lance camper? I am more than willing to help set up for the
 event in the morning.
 Thanks, Jeff

Turning Wrenches / Re: MB5 gets new brakes

Between that bike and Russ, the whole thing can't weigh more than 200 lbs.
Brakes only slow you down. On the MB5 momentum is your friend.

Quote from: Hawaii-Mike on July 30, 2024, 05:10:44 PMIs that the original Captain Kidd's? I thought it was lost when the pier caught fire decades back.  My brother worked there around 1979.  We lived in Hermosa and attended RUHS for two years.

I believe it is the original Captain Kid's. The pier fire burned a bunch of
restaurants about a 1/4 mile south of there. Down near the old Tony's.

Thanks Russ for the kind words and pictures on the Yammies.

Sometimes I hate when I'am right, but, not this time.  :dawg:
The same thing happened, main jet dropping into bowl, to my XL350R.
The XL has two carbs. Primary, and secondary for full throttle runs.
Primary main dropped. Bike would idle, then ~1/3- 2/3 throttle it
would sputter and smoke. High RPM and full throttle it would run
pretty well. Confusing to diagnose and I chased my tail for a while.

I hope the leak down test shown no leaks and you can clean up the
spooge. Get down to some more summer riding.

 Cheers, Russ  :vroom:

Was my thought too on the plate not being the issue.

Clutch engagement seems to feel fine to me. It will kick
start in gear with the clutch pulled.
The problem is liveable, just rather annoying.

Curious. My RD250 is hard to shift after a full motor rebuild and I do not
know why. Picked the bike up as a barn find. So I do not know how it shifted
 before the rebuild.

What is the possibility that the plastic switch plate is causing it?

It is also difficult to engage neutral with the engine running. Easier
when cold, gets harder when fully warm.

Thanks John.

If you need anything for your Lambrettas, my friend of 30 years
 runs Planet Lambretta.
And if you ever get to So. Cal. you need to visit his museum.

 Nice bikes too. Cheers, Jeff
