Hey Busa, thanks for the advice on my 400 top end . I changed up on the color and I got it all back together and presentable at this stage,I need to spend some time on my RGV. Your bike will be amazing! I may have some engine parts if you need seals and such.what ignition are you going to run?

I've got a bike(Suzuki) I'm considering putting a Vape ignition on. Head has angled plugs and my micrometer is straight as used on the RD. Question is do I need a different micrometer?
Thanks in advance for any help

I tried some , may have not put enough on. Being it's not pipe thread it pretty much just pushed it back.Seems to me the I can't be the only one to run into this even though it is a two year only bike.

I'm at the final stage of rebuilding the TS400 engine and can't pass the leak down test. It's leaking past the threads of the decompressor. Any suggestions as to what I should use to seal them?

My standard cast Suzuki 1st oversize piston weighs 455 grams, the wiseco 2nd oversize piston weighs 542.5 grams. 87.5 gram delta.

This is my crank from 73 and earlier, l have the piston set up as pictured in your post.I don't think there is anything wrong with my pin or rod so I'm just going to replace all of the bearings and honestly this crank is heavy, haven't weighed it though. I'm going to weigh the piston assembly again
to confirm.

I'm going to be doing an RGV after this current build, not a 300 but I do have a nos Aprilia crank. Who are you using to balance the TS crank?

Greetings strokers,
Rebuilding my TS400 engine and I'm wondering about crank assembly balance.
I'm using a forged wiseco piston and have discovered that it weighs 3.088 ozs. more than the standard cast piston which is a 19% difference.
Considering these already vibrate to some degree, what do think? Have the thing balanced or not. 83mm bore ,75mm stroke. Stock bore is 82mm , Suzuki piston I weighed is 82.5 mm.

Yes sir, I've got a 73 and I'm in the middle of getting it back on the road. Main problem with these bikes are the lack of parts. My problem is sourcing a rod and crank pin, unobtainium it seems. It's a 5000 mile bike may have to put it back together with new bearings and original crank and pin
