Turning Wrenches / Spacer behind clutch rd350
August 19, 2023, 01:08:37 PM
Hello
I tried to split the case on what I believe is a late model 1974 rd350.
I didn't realize this spacer was behind the clutch and I broke it. My other 74 doesn't have this. Any idea what it is called?
Thank you!

Where is this seal located? I can not find it in my shop manual.
Thanks much

I will open them and inspect. What are viton tips?  Is that something that hvc carries?

I should have mentioned that both carbs are completely clean.

Turning Wrenches / Rd350 floats sticking

I have 2 RD350s, a 73 and 74. One is pre-mix, the other autolube. Both were restored and run well. A few months ago both began to flood on the choke side carburetor as soon as fuel valve was opened, flooding that side of the engine.  A few gentle taps on bowl will usually get floats buoyant but what a pain! Does anyone have this problem or know what's going on?

What kind of shape are they in? If you can, email me rickdecollo@rocketmail.com and let me know how much you would like for them.

Thanks for the reply. My other bike runs ok but this one has some issues and I would
Like new needles. Where could I find some used parts? I would think these would be everywhere

Hello
I've got 3 rd350s, 2-'74s and a 73. All but one bike has y30 needle jets. I'm assuming these are aftermarket... I believe I bought from hvc. Is there any difference between these and a stock 5i4 needle? Someone told me not to use aftermarket needles but I can not locate the 5i4 needle. Does anybody have any input on this?
Thanks much!!
