Sadness in our house. I see his influence when my son drives his kart.

Bill Ivey was the man. Read became an outcast in British racing circles for what he did. People cheered for Hailwood in 78 both for the comeback and for the fact that he drove Read into the ground.

I'm sure the 3 are having a fun time sorting it all out now.

Not that this will nail it, but I have a 71 and I was told that was the last year for the 2nd light bulb in the headlight. It's a tiny little thing that goes below the main, and it's some running light thing common in other countries. You got wiring for that, you got blah, blah, blah..................

What size Panigale is that? 955? Do they use chains or belts? I don't keep up with anything after my desmocedici.

I been thinking about monkeying about with one of those engines for years. Tried to buy a barn find one out of Nebraska. Asked the guy to pull the engine, put it in a bin and send it to me. Do what he wanted with the rest. He said I was crazy. He hung up on me.

Agreed! I can wring the neck of my FZR around town and love every minute of it! I have to do a track day to do the same with my Ducati's.

You are so lucky to find one of those bikes in the US. I didn't even try lookin for one. Went straight to the FZR.

And I agree about the 250 2 strokes. I nearly went for a RGV250 but my FZR was a couple of thousand dollars less.

Awesome bike! Love the 400s! Mine's a FZR400 with lots of "R" parts. This bikes relative is the RC30, not some crap 600. Respect!

You guys are the best! I turned it clock-wise. I turned and turned and it finally stopped. There are no "+" and "-" marks on it. Just a punch-dot on the adjusting screw. More to come. I'm not done messing with this thing yet.

Thanks! So you figure turn to the left, less dampening, turn to the right, more dampening?

So I bought this FZR400r swingarm, and it came with this Yamaha shock. What the hell is the thing I circled for?
