I ordered a bunch of 2k Raptor liner in spray cans online so I figured I need something to mix it really well. That's when I found this gizmo.

General Chatter / Auction Fail
August 27, 2021, 08:18:00 PM
So I go down to the auction house this morning to check out the non runners. They actually have  some bikes in really nice condition so I bid on three of them that would make nice flips. Don't usually win any because the prices get too high to make it worthwhile. But they also had an RD60! It was complete, but pretty rough so would need restoration.I dropped out at $700. I think whoever got it paid around $1000 or so if you include auction fees. So I didn't get any bikes at all as usual.
I was also trying to get a golf cart. So I'm driving down the road with my wife explaining to her what I'm bidding on and how high I'm willing to go and she says stop being such a cheapskate and just buy the damn golf cart. So I glance at my phone and see the auction counter going down with just a few seconds left. I smash the button and tell my wife "fine, I'm buying it". So we get to our destination and I check the auction results. I hit the wrong button and ended up buying some total piece of junk cart I don't want! Worst part is the cart I wanted went for 900 and I was willing to go to $1000!
So now I have to pay the renege fee, or pay for the piece of crap and tell them to keep it there and put it in the next auction. Moral of the story, no bidding while driving. At least not when you wife is in the car.....

I always call them so they call tell me the value, that way I know it's correct. If the amount is incorrect they will send it back unprocessed.

RF interference from the LED lights has continued to cause a problem with my garage door opener remotes. Due to the way I installed the lights I really couldn't add ferrite chokes (I'm pretty sure that would work) so I started looking for other options such as inline RF filters when I came across this:
https://store.geniecompany.com/products/universal-garage-door-opener-remote-upgrade-conversion-kit
This kit is designed to overcome RF interference. I have to say it worked perfect and we are no longer experiencing any issues with the garage door remotes.

I called a local retired dealer about his collection.  Told me to cal him two days later and he'd let me in to shop.
When I called back he said this Kaplan guy had offered to buy it all.  There were many vintage bikes in various stages of completion and condition.  Everything from rusty "parts" bikes to pristine early cbs and bmws.  About 40 bikes.  The owner said he wanted to check with Kaplan and see if was ok with him if he let me look at a couple of bikes I was interested in.  Never heard back from him and two weeks later they were all gone.  Hauled off to New York to be bastardised and sold to the highest bidder.  Lame.  Dude probably doesn't even ride.

This has happened to me before. Fortunately, I knew the guy who bought them all and he sold me a couple bikes (would not sell the Suzuki Stinger I wanted though )

Next time, make sure YOUR the guy offering to buy it all...

Main difference between Eddie Moto rims and OEM is that Eddie Moto rims are made from a somewhat lighter material. Otherwise the overall quality including chrome is good. I have used on small displacement street bikes (100cc and less) with no issues so far.
That price in the ad you posted is high. Try the seller dr Eddie Moto. Make sure you contact the seller and confirm dimensions. I have also purchased spokes etc at the same time and he has combined shipping for me in the past. YMMV

I found a place recently that claims they can rechrome oem rims. I am going to give that a try and see how it works out...
