Don't understand the current self mutilation popularity.

A friend had one and it went over 100K miles before grenading. It went in a  big way but was used hard for it's entire life so he had no complaints. Chassis was good enough he stuck a 750 Seca engine in after the departure of the turbo mill. Typical Yamaha durability.

Yeah I wish they were tapered roller. And Mark the problem with better bearings is the tone ring for ABS in the right side bearing. Proprietary of course.

Been riding dirt bikes since 6" wheel travel was a big deal. They're sealed and one is an ABS tone ring bearing. I don't wanna mess with that and it's still a warranty item for awhile.

It's a year old and 25K miles. And due to current situation I didn't actually go anywhere. Just commuting to work and a few joyrides.

Will cross 20K miles tomorrow. Replaced the rear wheel bearings yesterday. Found them crunchy when replacing tire. 11K from that tire. Found running a few PSI over recommended makes a big difference. Disappointing that I'll be considering bearings part of 20K services now.    :taz:

Other than that no issues and saw 50.19 MPG a couple tanks ago. There is value in keeping it stock.

Dark roasted whole bean ground for each pot. Percolated dark. Touch of 1/2 & 1/2 with sugar to suit.

Started drinking coffee at 4 years old with my great grandfather during summers working the farm. Lots of (fresh-dairy farm) cream and sugar and that habit stuck with me. My great grandmother got up at O'Dark thirty every morning to make fresh bread and cook breakfast when we came back from morning chores. She had suffered a stroke in the '30s and was partially paralyzed but still pulled more than her weight. A crusty tough old gal who I respected but feared as a child. She made it to her 90's.

Lectrons are tried and true. I see no reason to attempt reinventing the wheel.

They're not reinventing, just improving apparently.
There's a link in the original post explaining their carb vs Lectron.
The smartcarb was designed by the same guy who designed Lectron, Lake Injectors, etc.

This I knew. And stand by my statement.

13K miles so far so good. Loosening up well. Fuel mileage in the mid-upper 40's.
