Headlite replacment & Chrome Paint

Have a Yamaha LT that the healite did not work.
Took apart to put in an LED one.

Took old bulb out.
Went to clean shell & all the chrome came off.

I got the Krylon chrome paint.
You cant touch it whe it dries, or it leaves a mark.

Anyone come across some other options?

aluminum tape, and polish it. it's ghetto as hell but ive seen it done and sort of works.

Rust oleum stainless steel appliance paint would look good.
