RD400 Daytona Crankshaft

I am about to re-seal my Daytona motor with ~5000 original miles.  Would it be smart to use an earlier crank given the problems with the Daytona crank?  The bike is for pleasure cruising but I do like to wind it up once in a while.

I wouldn't worry about it at all but check the rod small end deflection, (p) in the service manual, to make sure the lower rod bearings are still within spec.

yeah me either unless you plan on heavy porting and lots of hp, should be ok.

Thanks for the replies.  I will double check and reuse my 2VO crank.
