Losing power to my spark

Just got my other RD up and running since I purchased it from a fellow. I discovered that every time I would step or squeeze on the brakes, I would lose power to the plugs and bike would eventually die. I know I need to find where its shorting out, just curious if anyone here has experienced this issue as well. From what I can understand, it's all stock.

I am definitely losing voltage somewhere, it runs great with lights off, but until you turn on any lights...it dies. Yep it's a stock system. I could test with my other battery to see the results. Any other suggestions?

check battery voltage with bike off. turn on don't start, check voltage again. start bike, warm up a bit.. check running voltage with lights off at idle, then at 2k, then turn lights on and repeat, check at battery terminals. this might give brief indication of battery condition, and charging system condition (basic 1st tests)  . report back with results. :twocents:

Install a cheap digital voltmeter. It will give clear info about voltage of the battery with engine off and at different rpms on the move

Discovered it was my battery. Need to get a new one. Thanks for the input.
