update ; so I pulled my m/c ( I thinks it from a rd 400 , squarish  top tapers down some on the other side)  apart and put it in my ultrasonic cleaner. just put it back together and have fluid flow . the old rubber line is crap tho. replacement on the way. gonna pull the caliper today ( when it warms up , Fl. and our bipolar weather    ).

and I forgot to ask, is using red brake grease highly recommended over just brake fluid on caliper rebuilds? tia

I've been using it for several years and wouldn't do a caliper or master without it now. But not a necessity if you don't have it
