On the GT750, I replaced the stock Japanese H5 headlamp with an LED H4 style bulb.

Now, I don't remember this being a problem on my RD. I get a decent amount of flicker on the headlamp at idle which clears up at speed. But, the weirdest thing I noticed the other night was the headlamp blinking and dimming significantly when the turn signals are used.

Basically it blinks dim whenever the turn signals flash. Looks really silly and is quite annoying.

I'm thinking it has to be a grounding issue. But, has anyone come across this before?

The only bulbs that are LED is the headlamp and tail lamp.

Auxito as well.

The battery was new this year. A Motobatt. Was kept on the trickle charger except for the last few weeks since I've been riding it. I'll check the battery voltage tomorrow after a night sitting.

The regular headlamp didn't do this from what I remember.

regular has more capacitance.  I mean, the lightweight rd does that, but it also doesn't have a battery.  my suggestion is to try a no load style flasher if you're running a stock style one

The battery was at 12.78 volts this morning. So, no issues there.

I actually located my original H4 bulb from when I first converted the RD headlamp and just stuck that in the LED's place. I figure if it works for a while (despite how hot they run) then I'll keep it. I'll consider swapping the flasher unit to the low load LED style and changing it back over if the H4 bulb blows out. The beam pattern actually is much improved with the H4 bulb. I think it just mimics the older H5 bulb a lot better.

I can't speak to the beam pattern, mine have always been pretty good but I need to re aim them.
