2025 Yamaha Bolt

I have never owned a cruiser and my wife asked if I ever was going to buy a brand new bike.
 Started looking around and this bike  looked kinda fun.
 Got a great deal on it as Yamaha isn't continuing the XV950models after 2026. The dealer had installed a set of Bassani's and a Cobra air intake. Bike is only 27" at the seat and so I being a short guy felt good on it. The motor has a roller cam valve train and fuel injection but is air cooled. It's essentially a stripped down bobber. Plenty of low end grunt with a top end around 110 mph in 5th gear. Runs a comfortable 80 cruising speed on the highway.
 I need to do a dyno and tune to get full power from the exhaust and air mods plus a couple other changes I'll make including a bump up 2 teeth on the front pulley to make the highway rides even nicer and then a set of pull back risers to get the ergonomics a little better for my short arms.
 I love my other vintage bikes but this is a pretty fun bike too.

i always like those. the belt drive and the limited rear travel kept me from buying one but i def considered it a few times.

I wanted to get the scrambler 960 but didnt pull the trigger. I probably would have enjoyed it and probably would've went in a different direction.

i always like those. the belt drive and the limited rear travel kept me from buying one but i def considered it a few times.

Never owned a belt drive bike. To be honest I couldn't feel any difference. May change my mind as time goes on.

That is probably right. I'll  report back after the tune. I want to complete the engine break in first.
