Since I'm working to finish the bike before spring. I'm working on setting the timing with my light. I didn't have the rotor quite tight enough and she slipped all the way to TDC firing. Now wonder the bike barely moved lol.

But since I have the cover off, I'm a bit confused as to where the neutral light wire should be run? I thought the neutral light was a ground but I think it needs it's own power, so where should the wire connect?

The last thing is I'm going to be taking a look at a set of new springs for the bike and am wondering if the street springs from economy will really make a difference in how .uxj the bike nose dives on me. I tried adding a washer to the fork tube and it did help a bit, but I know the springs are 46 years old so, they have to be worn.

I'll be getting an xring chain as well so I won't have to get crazy with lube as much. I cant wait for apring!

get the springs, it helps for sure.

as far as the N light, the OTHER wire on the bulb needs power, the n switch completes the circuit by grounding it.  do NOT run power straight to it.

as far as the rotor, clean it all up. heat the rotor to 220 degrees in an oven for an 30-40 mins. put it on when hot with oven mitts. of course, make sure the crank is positioned correctly, tighten bolt, will shrink down onto shaft. it will not slip, and yes, it will come back off when you want to remove it.  :dawg:

I ran a neutral wire with the vape wiring when I installed, so they all go through the long rubber grommet in the case.
Not the easiest job getting them to fit in there

I also cleaned up the end of my crank with a bit of valve grinding paste and spinning the rotor loose on the crank.
Clean it up good before install
