Stock R5 case crack advise sought

Is this thing garbage? Run, repair, or replace?

The only way you'll know for sure is to pressure test the motor and spray it down to see if it leaks there. Cracks in engine cases happen and any good local welder can take care of it if it indeed is a crack. But it could just be a casting flaw too.

Great info,thanks all! There is nothing similar visible on the other side, so I don't think it will leak. Was more worried about a catastrophic failure.
So when the case cools the material shrinks more in that area to create a void? Or impurities in the casting material fall out eventually, leaving the space? Inquiring minds....

All my RD400 cases have "cracks" like that in various places.
