I got this speedo as a replacement.
Only to find out the cable threads are broken.
Not usable.
It has a great face & colorfull needle.

The internal bracket can be seperated.

Does anyone know if an RD or any other speedo has the same bracket?
As it is standard made by Seiko

I have speedometers with good internals if you need one.

I need the part on the bottom picture where the threaded nozzle sticks out.
It separates from the main unit, with a couple screws.

It is from a Kaw tho, but it is a Seiko brand

Ahh, maybe Mark knows for sure, but I do believe they are similar internals. That bracket with the threads I think is the oil bowl as well for the dampening oil. Not 100% on that, but I could take one apart and see what size it is. Take measurements, etc.

If you could take a picture from all 4 sides, I can compare it to mine.

PM me, or keep posting.

wheres the original speedometer? cant you part that out?

Milan

Ya I was thinking of that.

But it is still in good working condition, but the face & needle is faded.

I thought it might be useful to someone, instead of destroying it, since they are not made anymore.

It would also allow me to offer a complete speedo, tach unit in its bracket, with center face indicators.

if it were me, id just swap the better face onto the original one.

So ended up getting a cheap RD speedometer on Ebay.

Took it apart.

Same identical internals.

Removed the (5) little screws and part came off easy

Installed on other speedometer, and all working fine.

Took longer to get speedo apart, than to swap parts.

what cheap RD speedo? Like a new one? Or another old one?
