yeah, just yank em out see if it will free rev any better. i will say, the reproduction rd baffles from yambits are pretty nice and work really well, have them in my 70. just as a discussion point.

Pulled the baffles and not clogged. I took the whole LH exhaust off and made sure I could blow through it. All OK there. The LH piston from intake and the exhaust ports looked normal. The compression is at 130 psi on both cylinders. Removed the carbs to check for any issues.
Reassembled everything and the test ride was on. Has really good power, so hopefully whatever was ailing it is cleared. Hopefully. I must note again that the SV650 coils are a great upgrade and much less expensive than the stockers.

sweet. might have just been built up fuel in the crankcases, ive seen that if they sit for any amount of time. but now you KNOW everything else is ok, so theres some value in peace of mind.

yeah the sv coils work great. hell, i have them in the yl1, the 67 kawasaki, and the 70 r5. glad you got it sorted :toot:

Yeah, it could have been unburnt fuel clearing. I always add oil to the fuel tank with  a new to me non runner 2 stroke. It smoked like hell on the first start when I first got it. Those SV coils are the shit.

I went to 150 mains with this drop in uni filter and it 4 strokes now. Larger pilots? Stock 30's in there now.
